How it works

What the options do
- Image URL
- The public address that goes into the og:image tag. Social networks fetch it themselves.
- Device image
- Only for the preview. It is not uploaded and does not go into the tags.
Privacy
The preview is drawn in your browser. This tool does not fetch other websites, so it cannot read the tags of an existing page.
Questions people ask
Can I paste a URL and see its current preview?
No. Reading another site from the browser is blocked by browser security rules, and we do not use a server. Fill in the fields to see what your tags would produce.
What image size should I use?
1200 by 630 pixels, a ratio of about 1.91 to 1, works on Facebook, LinkedIn and X. Keep important content away from the edges, since some apps crop.
Why does the real card look different?
Each network changes its layout and text limits from time to time, and chat apps may crop the image. The previews are close guides, not exact copies.
Why is my old image still shown after I changed it?
Networks cache link previews. Use the Facebook Sharing Debugger or the LinkedIn Post Inspector to force a refresh.
Do I need both Open Graph and X tags?
X falls back to Open Graph tags for most fields. You only need twitter:card to choose the card type.
