How it works

What the options do
- Ranges
- Type the pages for each new file, separated by commas. "1-3, 4-6, 7" makes three files. A range such as 8- runs to the last page.
- Every N pages
- Cuts the document into equal parts. With 2, a 7 page file becomes parts of 2, 2, 2 and 1 pages.
- Each page
- Saves every page as its own PDF.

Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The file is split inside your browser. Nothing leaves your device.
How do I save pages 5 to 9 as one file?
Choose Ranges and type 5-9. If you also want the rest, use 1-4, 5-9, 10- and you get three files.
What happens to a very long document split into single pages?
You get one PDF per page, packed into a ZIP. A few hundred pages is fine on most computers.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Remove the password first, then split. You will see a clear message if a file is protected.
Do the new files keep the original quality?
Yes. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images are not recompressed.
Will bookmarks and links survive?
Page content is kept. Bookmarks and links that point to pages in other parts can be lost when a document is divided.
