- The MP3 bitrate. 128 kbps is fine for speech, 192 kbps for most music, 256 and 320 kbps for the highest MP3 quality at larger sizes.
Privacy
The video is processed by a converter running inside your browser. It is never uploaded to a server.

Is my video uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser with a WebAssembly build of ffmpeg. Your video never leaves your device.
Why does it take a moment to start?
The converter is about 30 MB and downloads the first time you use an audio or video tool. After that your browser keeps it.
How big a video can I use?
Up to 300 MB. Phones have less memory than computers, so keep videos below about 100 MB there. A short video converts faster.
Which videos work?
MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and most other common types. The sound of the first audio track is used.
What if the video has no sound?
You get a message that there is no sound track to extract.
How long will it take?
Taking audio from a video is quick, usually a few seconds for a few minutes of video. Slow devices take longer.
