What the options do
- Quality
- Higher quality keeps more detail and makes a larger file. 90 suits most photos; 70 to 80 is fine for the web.
- Background for transparent areas
- JPG has no transparency. Pixels that were see-through are filled with this colour, white by default.

Are my images uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser. Your files stay on your device.
What happens to transparent PNGs?
JPG cannot be transparent, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose. White is the default.
What happens to an animated GIF?
Only the first frame is converted. JPG cannot hold an animation.
Will quality get worse?
JPG is a lossy format, so some detail is lost each time a picture is saved this way. At quality 90 the difference is hard to see.
Can I convert many files at once?
