How it works

  1. 1Choose an SVG file, or drag it onto the page.
  2. 2Pick a size: 1x to 4x, or an exact width in pixels.
  3. 3Choose a transparent, white or coloured background.
  4. 4Select Convert to PNG and download the image.

What the options do

Size
The SVG is drawn again at the new size, so lines stay sharp at any scale. 2x gives twice the width and height, which suits high-density screens.
Width
Type the exact width in pixels. The height follows the shape of the SVG.
Background
PNG can be transparent. Choose white or a colour if the place you will use it does not show transparency.
Output format
PNG by default. JPG and WebP are available when you need a smaller photo-style file.

Questions people ask

Is my file uploaded?

No. The SVG is drawn on a canvas in your browser. It never leaves your device.

Why is a font or picture missing in the PNG?

Browsers do not load fonts or images linked from outside an SVG when drawing it. Convert text to outlines and embed pictures in the file.

What size should I choose?

For a website logo, 2x the display size is a good rule. For print, pick a width that gives about 300 pixels per inch.

Why is the size wrong for an SVG without width and height?

Such files only describe a shape. ToolsMaxxing uses the viewBox as the base size, or 300 by 150 pixels if there is none. Set the width yourself to get what you need.

Is there a size limit?

Up to 16000 pixels on a side and about 100 million pixels in all. Beyond that the browser cannot draw it.
