How it works
- 1Choose your PDF. Each page appears as a tile.
- 2Draw your signature, type your name, or upload a picture of your signature.
- 3Set the size and position with the sliders. The thumbnails show where the signature will land.
- 4Pick the pages to sign, or select tiles. Select Sign PDF and download the file.
What the options do
- Your signature
- Draw with a mouse, finger or stylus, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload a photo or scan of your signature. Uploads can have the white background removed.
- Signature width
- How wide the signature is, as a share of the page width. Its height follows automatically.
- Left to right, Bottom to top
- Where the signature sits on the page. The thumbnails update as you move the sliders.
- Add the date
- Writes today's date in small type under the signature.
- Pages to sign
- Last page, first page, all pages or a list. Or select page tiles, which takes priority.
Privacy
This tool runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server.
Questions people ask
Is my document or signature uploaded?
No. Both stay in your browser. The signature is placed on the page on your device.
Is this a legally binding digital signature?
It adds a picture of your signature, like signing a printout and scanning it. It is not a certificate-based digital signature. Whether it is enough depends on the document and the rules where you are.
Can the signature be removed later?
It is part of the page content, so someone with a PDF editor could remove it. Use Flatten PDF afterwards to make forms permanent, but remember no simple tool can prevent editing completely.
What if I need other people to sign?
This tool signs for you only. Collecting signatures from other people needs a service that tracks who signed, which is not part of this tool.
Why does my typed signature look different on my phone?
The handwriting fonts come from your device. The signature is drawn in your browser using what your device has, so what you see in the preview is what is placed on the page.
Can I sign on a rotated page?
Yes. The signature follows the way the page is displayed.
