Questions people ask

Is my image uploaded?

No. The image is read in your browser and never leaves your device.

Are the colours exact?

Yes, they are the stored pixel values of the picture. A JPG may have slight noise, so nearby pixels can differ by a few steps.

What do HEX, RGB and HSL mean?

They are three ways to write the same colour. HEX like #4F46E5 is common in web design. RGB gives red, green and blue from 0 to 255. HSL gives hue, saturation and lightness, which is easier to adjust by hand.

Can it pick colours from a screenshot of a website?

Yes. Take a screenshot, add it here and click the colour you want.

How are the main colours chosen?

The picture is shrunk, then its colours are split into groups of similar shades and the average of each group is shown, largest group first.
