Questions people ask

What are the caption limits?

Commonly published figures are 2,200 for an Instagram caption, 150 for an Instagram bio, 4,000 for TikTok, 280 for X, 3,000 for LinkedIn and 500 for a Pinterest description. Apps change their limits, so check if it is critical.

How many hashtags should I use?

Platforms change their advice and some now limit them, so set your own target. Fewer, relevant hashtags usually serve better than a long list.

Why does the preview matter?

People see only the first lines before "more". Your hook and key message should be there.

What counts as a hashtag?

A # followed by letters, digits or underscores, such as #freetools. Bangla and other scripts work too.

Do emoji count as one character?

Here they do. Some platforms count certain emoji as two, so leave a small margin if you are at the limit.
